Jocelyn is Métis born in Aklavik NWT. Her father, Gene Rheaume, the first Métis Member of Parliament since Louis Riel and a member of the Aboriginal Order of Canada, introduced her from an early age to Aboriginal politics, live events and conferences all across Canada.

Through Bossy Jossy Productions, Jocelyn has produced, directed and written several Aboriginal live multi-media stage and day-long events, including: Convergence for the Department of Canadian Heritage’s 2003 National Gatherings on Aboriginal Cultures and Tourism in Whistler BC, the 2002 National Aboriginal Day Celebrations in Gatineau QC, and Moccasin Walk, the 30th anniversary of the Congress of Aboriginal Peoples in Ottawa 2001.

Her experience producing, writing and directing videos within Aboriginal communities is also extensive, including: 24 web videos; INAC’s Aboriginal and Northern Success Stories From Across Canada, a 30 minute documentary Justice Within: Indigenous Legal Traditions for the Law Commission of Canada (filmed on location in several Aboriginal communities across Canada),The Congress of Aboriginal Peoples’ Keeping Hope Alive video, and video profiles of Aboriginal community success stories for Canada Mortgage and Housing ( the Kitselas Band, BC) and HRSDC (Trade Winds to Success Program in Calgary, AB).

Jocelyn’s extensive experience, background, passion and commitment provide her with the knowledge and understanding of protocols and standards of conduct when working in Aboriginal communities with their members, as well as a deep understanding of the importance of highlighting success stories for the Canadian public.
